A Glimpse into Sam's Day

Sam was/had been/went a pretty careless/reckless/thoughtless kid. He often ignored/disregarded/failed to listen his/her/their parents' advice/instructions/warnings. One day, Sam decided/chose/wanted to climb/scale/go up the tallest/biggest/highest tree in the yard/garden/park. He didn't/couldn't/wasn't able to see/realize/understand the danger/risk/peril he was in. As he reached/got to/climbed up to the top, the branch/limb/twig broke/snapped/fell. Sam plummeted/fell/crashed to the ground with a loud/sharp/painful thud/sound/crash.
- Fortunately/By chance, Sam wasn't/didn't get/sustained any serious/major/critical injuries.
- But, he learned a valuable lesson/teaching/truth: always listen/heed/pay attention to guidance/advice/warnings from trusted/reliable/responsible people.
From/After/That day on, Sam became much more cautious/careful/thoughtful. He understood/realized/learned the importance/value/significance of being safe/secure/protected.
A New Friend
Sam was feeling a little lonely. He hoped to have a new pal to play with. One day, while he was running in the yard, he noticed something interesting. It was a little being with bright feathers. Sam slowly approached the creature and spoke, "Hello! What's your identity?" The creature grinned and replied Sam, "You can call me Lily!" And so, Sam made a new companion. They spent the rest of the day talking together.
Sam was so happy to have found a new friend. He knew that he and Lily would be best friends forever.
